[G2], t the Roger Attfield trainee returned in 2004 for a record-setting score in Keeneland’s Maker’s Mark Mile [G2] before retiring with 7 victories and 9 graded stakes wins or placings from 21 lifetime starts, and earnings of $1,527,764.
PERFECT SOUL (IRE) entered stud at the famed Darby Dan Farm near Lexington, Kentucky in 2005, with first foals arriving in 2006. His first crop yielded Canadian classic winner PERFECT SHOWER and Woodbine SW SOUL OF NATAKA; his second crop includes Breeders’ Cup victress PERFECT SHIRL [G1], and 2011 Woodbine multiple SW CHECK YOUR SOUL comes from his third crop. He has 2012 maiden special-weight winners at Gulfstream and Keeneland from his fourth crop, and runners from his fifth crop will race at 2 in 2012.
His progeny have been well-received at major North American auctions with weanlings averaging more than $53,000, yearlings averaging over $28,000, and 2-year-olds averaging over $50,000.
